Local Residential Moves
Moving can be a trying experience, but Midway’s expertise will make your move as stress-free as possible. Our first priority is to make you feel confident in recommending us to your family and friends.
Every relocation is different, and at Midway we strive to understand and meet our customers’ needs. The first question most customers ask us is “How much will my move cost?” Many factors go in to the rate, which is why we are happy to provide free estimates through our Web site or over the phone.
Factors that affect the rate include the amount of furniture and belongings, moving of large-sized or extra heavy pieces, floor level of the home, distance between the two locations, customer’s preparedness and many others. The labor rate begins when we arrive at the origin address and our crew introduces themselves to you. The rate continues during the load-up, the drive to the new location, and the unload, and it ends when you say the job is finished. In the final hour, once the required minimum has been met, the rate is charged in 15-minute increments. In addition to our labor rate, a truck fee, which covers the use of the truck, fuel, mileage and use of our equipment, is included.
Our rates include four free wardrobe rentals for clothing on hangers (additional wardrobes can be rented for $5.00 each). Also included are professional quilted furniture blankets to protect your belongings, floor coverings to protect light-colored carpet, hardwood and tiled floors, and two speed packs for non-breakable items. For an additional cost of $59.50 per large roll and $39.50 per small roll, we will apply plastic stretch wrap to protect upholstered and leather furniture.
To help you estimate a “ballpark” cost for your move, here are some guidelines. However, we strongly recommend letting us do the estimate, either in person or over the phone.
